Hello and welcome to Dewtiful Natural Skincare’s website!
Established in May 2019, all products by Dewtiful Natural Skincare are personally formulated and handmade locally in Western Australia. Dewtiful offers busy people, and people with dry or maturing skin a fuss-free skincare range that cares for them as much as it cares for the environment.
To counter the toxic chemicals in our modern life, Dewtiful aims to provide a natural, predominantly plant-based alternative that is Safe, Gentle and Effective.
We use only the finest natural ingredients, or nature-derived ingredients approved by ECOCERT or COSMOS. Our products are fragranced by our own blend of pure essential oils following the guidelines of IFRA (International Fragrance Association).
Safety
Dewtiful products do not contain harsh chemicals, no Sodium Laureth/Lauryl Sulfates, no Ethanol or other skin-drying alcohols, no Petroleum by-products, no Parabens, no Phthalates and no synthetic colourings or artificial fragrances. Products that require preservation are tested and approved for their efficacy by reputable science labs in the UK.
Quality
All Dewtiful products are ‘a little goes a long way’. We do not add fillers to bulk up the quantity of our products.
Cruelty free
Dewtiful products are free from animal cruelty and Halal. With the exception of a small amount of beeswax in our body butter and lip balms, all other products in our range are vegan friendly.
Eco friendly
We strive to use recyclable and minimalist packaging so you pay for a quality product instead of packaging and landfill waste; even our mailer bags and bubble wraps are compostable or biodegradable.
Our Story
My name is Aminah, the owner of Dewtiful Natural Skincare.
There are no coincidences in life. As cliché as it may sound, I believe I was led onto the path to live a ‘dewtiful’ life.
As a child, I was brought up to take on my duties seriously. Driven by this sense of duty, I shelved my career pursuits that took me years to qualify, not once, but twice: first as a nurse then a teacher, to accommodate changes to my family situations. Fast track a few decades later with three adult children and four degrees, I began to notice a tug at my heart for that missing piece of something in my life.
In late 2017 I came across a video clip showing handmade lotions using natural ingredients. I was totally smitten. I loved the idea of knowing exactly what I put on my skin. I support the wake-up call for mankind to stop consuming products using laboratory-invented substances that harm us and our environment, and instead, to return to nature for sustenance, nourishment and healing. I was appalled to learn the prevalence of harsh substances present in almost every item people use in our modern life, these include cleaning products, personal care, what people apply to their skin, ingest or inhale into their systems on a daily basis.
I decided to explore further. I began experimenting with a few simple ingredients using basic equipment and fragranced my products with a variety of essential oils. What fascinated me was the effectiveness and diversity of benefits of essential oils. Making natural skincare products immediately became my new hobby. Whenever I am making my products I am transported to a zone of flow. I wished I could carry on creating skincare products without having to sleep! Soon I gave my lotions to relatives and friends overseas as gifts. Almost everyone liked the products and urged me to sell them. People started to insist that they should at least help me cover the cost. Orders came in and before you knew it, in May 2019 I became a qualified natural skincare formulator. Obtaining my Diploma in Natural Skincare Formulation gave me the confidence I needed to take it to the next level.
Quite symbolically, Dewtiful nourished me. It was one of the missing drops of fulfillment I was searching for.
